CASTERS FARM
LANCASER, CA
WINTER 2026
Cultivating Food, Work, and Belonging
Street Company’s second social enterprise, Casters Farm, is an urban farm and greenhouse hydroponic project focused on making fresh, healthy food more accessible and affordable for the local community. Located at Elm Ave and West Milling St in Lancaster, CA, the farm is being developed in the center of a residential neighborhood to bring fresh produce directly into the community.
Operated by Street Company’s unhoused members, Casters Farm creates meaningful employment opportunities while producing locally grown vegetables through sustainable greenhouse hydroponic farming. The project is designed to be more than a food production site — it is a community-centered space where neighbors can reconnect through food, work, learning, and shared purpose.
Casters Farm aims to strengthen food access in the Antelope Valley while creating pathways for people experiencing homelessness to gain job experience, stability, and community connection through meaningful work. The project is expected to launch in November 2026.
The project is being developed in partnership with the City of Lancaster, LA County Food Equity Roundtable, Community Partners, the Annenberg Foundation, and Cultivating Farmers.
